The 8th International Festival of Youth Creativity FOLK INSPIRATIONS 2018 will take place in Załęcze Wielkie on 23- 26 June 2018 and in Lodz on 27-30 June 2018.
The program of the festival will thematically refer to the culture and traditions of the Wieluń Region and the rich multicultural traditions of the capital of the region – the City of Lodz. It will be implemented in two thematic blocks: “Lodz promotes folk” and “Lodz creates folk”.
LODZ PROMOTES FOLK – the first part of the festival will take place in the Wieluń Region under this motto. For 4 days participants of the festival will learn about cultural and landscape heritage while staying in the Scouts Training and Recreation Center “Nadwarciański Gród” in Załęcze Wielkie. The inhabitants of the neighboring villages will also be invited to visit the festival and actively participate in it.
LODZ CREATES FOLK – 4 FOLK INSPIRATIONS IN THE CITY OF FOUR CULTURES – dance- music, street, intercultural and fashion – various artistic and educational activities with the participation of city residents and its guests on Piotrkowska Street, in Retkinia at J. Tuwim Youth Centre in Łódź, in MANUFAKTURA and in revitalized courtyards and in selected museums.
