Traditionally, the festival has a prestigious competition: the “Golden Boat” competition. The competition presentations of festival participants from abroad and various regions of Poland refer to both the folklore of nations and works inspired by folklore.
Competition “Golden Boat 2018 – choreography” for choreographic groups from different countries of the world and regions of Poland.
Competition “Golden Boat 2018 – vocal” for vocal groups and soloists from various countries of the world and regions of Poland.
Competition “Golden Boat 2018 – photo” – for children, adolescents and adults observing folklore presentations in the streets and on festival stages realized during festival activities.
“Golden Boat 2018 – design” -for youth- designers, pattern creators.
Competition “Golden Boat 2018 – video” for festival groups and reporters – young journalists, inspired by the activities of young people around the traditions and culture of different nations.
Auditions for vocal and choreographic competitions and the awards ceremony will take place on the stage of one of theaters in Lodz, together with an exhibition of photography works – laureates of the photo competition. Winners assessed by a professional jury will receive awards and statuettes.
